Tugun
Tugun boasts picturesque surf beaches and laidback lifestyles. Tugun is immediately south of Currumbin spreading west to the Hinterland with magnificent views. The Tugun bypass, which will provide a high-speed motorway link between the Gold Coast and New South Wales, is under construction and is expected to be finished in June 2008. A billion-dollar desalination plant is also being built at Tugun. It is also handy to the Gold Coast airport.
Residential
Tugun offers ocean-front properties with housing consisting of both new developments and older styled homes. Many of the older fibro-style dwellings in the area are purchased for redevelopment. Homes across the highway range from older homes to more modern brick houses and many have views.
Shopping
There are a number of shops that line the eastern side of the highway in Tugun. A five minute drive away is the Showcase Shopping Centre, situated on Marine Parade in Coolangatta, which offers beachfront shopping with a number of specialty stores as well as cafes and restaurants. The Pines shopping centre is also nearby and offers a Kmart, Woolworths and Coles as well as a number of other specialty stores

Transport
Buses run through Tugun to the Tweed in the south and Southport in the north. Gold Coast Airport is located in this region and flies to both domestic and an increasing number of international destinations. The M1 Motorway runs directly through Tugun.

Recreation
The beaches of this region are certainly on of its best assets and attractions. Surfers frequent this area as do families. The Currumbin Oceanway begins at Tugun Surf Club and is a beautiful walk. Tugun Surf Life Saving Club has a bar and is a nice spot for a meal.
Golf
Tallebudgera Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course for members and the general public. The par 67 course is bordered by the Tallebudgera Creek and is open 7 days and is a 10-minute drive from Tugun.
