Ormeau
Ormeau is a northern suburb of the Gold Coast positioned midway between Brisbane and Surfers Paradise. Ormeau straddles the M1 Motorway and Pimpama lies on the eastern side of the highway south-east of Ormeau. The Pimpama River flows beneath the road bridges to eventually reach the waters of Moreton Bay. The area is within 25 minutes of the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Ormeau Hills is a master planned residential community that offers generous blocks of land enhanced by a backdrop of bushland.

Ormeau is set amid the natural beauty of native bushland and many walking and cycling tracks are available for people’s enjoyment. It is a base for eco-tours into northern rainforest areas. The purpose-built Holden Performance Driving Centre is also situated in Ormeau. The centre, which is home to Paul Morris’s Sirromet Wines V8 Supercar team, has a two kilometre circuit, skidpan and off-road track. The Strawberry Farm in Pimpama is a popular spot for families where people can pick strawberries and try a number of strawberry delights while the kids play with the animals in the farmyard. Three of the Gold Coast’s famous theme parks are also a 10 minute drive from Ormeau.
Golf
Gainsborough Greens is an 18-hole golf course that encompasses a fauna and flora sanctuary which is home to dozens of Eastern Grey Kangaroos. It is suitable for players of all abilities and visitors are welcome.
