Nerang

Nerang is a thriving Gold Coast suburb positioned in the middle of the gold of the beaches and tourist strip and green of the Gold Coast Hinterland. As it has grown, facilities in the suburb have received an upgrade. The area is home to a cinema, local library, Gold Coast City Council Chambers, train station and swimming pools. West Nerang borders onto the Hinterland and the suburbs of Mount Nathan, Clagiraba and the Hinterland towns of Canungra, Beaudesert and Mt Tamborine are accessed through Nerang. The Nerang River and M1 Motorway divide the suburb. Nerang’s central location and excellent opportunities for buying have made it a popular option.

Residential

Nerang contains a mix of riverfront properties, numerous acreages and also very affordable housing. Gilston offers larger acreage blocks with scattered standard residential homes located on the western side of Highland Park on sloping hills. The area has many new residential developments. Highland Park, located to the south of Nerang, offers panoramic views and renovation opportunities. This area offers a mix of more modern homes on the highest elevated land with older homes near the M1 Motorway..

Shopping

There are a number of small shopping centres in Nerang that cater to everyday needs. These include Nerang River Plaza, Nerang Fair, Earle Plaza and Nerang Mall. There is a Woolworths on the corner of New and Cayuga streets and Earle Plaza is also home to Nerang’s cinema complex. There are a number of cafes throughout Nerang.

Nerang PCYC on Cayuga St offers futsal, boxing, basketball, volleyball and martial arts. Nerang has a soccer club and rugby league club for young and old looking to join a team. The Nerang RSL is a popular venue for dining and entertainment among Nerang locals as well as people from surrounding areas. Nerang River offers good fishing and boating opportunities and provides a nice backdrop for family picnics. The Gold Coast Cycle Centre is also located in the area and has a velodrome, off-road circuit and a gridiron field.

Golf

The Villa, a private golf course nestled alongside the Nerang River, is a stunning venue designed to cater to weddings, corporate dinners, special events, conferences and functions. Membership is by invitation only. There are also numerous golf courses within a 15km drive.
