Main Beach
Main Beach, situated between Surfers Paradise and Southport, is a popular suburb bordered by the ocean, Broadwater and the Nerang River. The suburb boasts its trendy Tedder Avenue café corridor frequented by the Gold Coast’s glitterati as well as international stars. It also offers boutique shopping and al a carte dining. The Southport Yacht Club, Sheraton Mirage and the 6-star Palazzo Versace hotel are features of Main Beach. Popular among locals and tourists alike, Main Beach boasts a relaxing beach that is less crowded than nearby Surfers Paradise.
Residential
There are still houses in Main Beach but most people enjoy a high rise lifestyle. Real estate is expensive due to the status of the area.
Shopping
Main Beach has a multitude of boutique shopping at Marina Mirage and along Tedder Avenue. Surfers Paradise and Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Southport are both only a five-minute drive.

Recreation
At the northern most end of Seaworld Drive is the Southport Seaway, the main shipping channel for fishing and pleasure boats alike. On the southern side of the seaway is the Spit, the northern most surf beach of the Gold Coast where dogs are welcome. A little further south is Sea World, a popular theme park with numerous rides and shows. Whale watching tours, Broadwater cruises, jet ski rides and paraflying among other activities leave from Marina Mirage. This centre is also home to high end labels and restaurants. Fisherman’s Wharf is a popular tavern especially for people between the ages of 18-25 on a Sunday afternoon. Southport Yacht Club, established in 1946, is a popular and award winning marina.
