Lower Beechmont

Beechmont and Lower Beechmont make up a stunning area of the Gold Coast Hinterland. Lower Beechmont is a popular area due to its elevated position in the first line of Hinterland mountains. The quiet residential area has a village feel and is popular with those people trying to escape the fast pace of the city.

Residential

Homes in this area range from large modernised homes to country cottages. Many homes have views over the Gold Coast and back to Hinze Dam.

Shopping

Local shops cater for everyday needs. The closest major shopping centre is Robina Town Centre, a 15-minute drive, which has a Coles, Woolworths, David Jones, Kmart and Target as well as a cinema and major banks.

Public transport does not service the area apart from school buses. Robina train station is a 15-minute drive.

Recreation

Beechmont is a favourite among hang gliders who launch themselves in this area. There are a number of bushwalking tracks that are spectacular. Nearby Hinze Dam is a nice spot for a picnic and to drop a line. While fishing permits are required, the dam is packed with silver and golden pearch, saratoga and bass. Beechmont is home to an ancient Antarctic Beech forest, a stunning sight for visitors. The Beechmont Plateau is one of the northerly spurs of the McPherson Ranges and is a perfect spot to picnic, bird watch or simply relax in stunning natural surroundings.
