Burleigh Waters

Burleigh Waters is located close to the beach and a major shopping precinct. The area is close to the Burleigh Heads National Park consisting of a bush-covered volcanic dome that juts out to sea. A wild, natural headland offers walks along the rocky foreshore and through rainforest and provides a good vantage point for whale watching as they pass along the coastline. Burleigh Hill overlooks the ocean and is a popular spot for weddings. Popular among families and surfers alike, Burleigh is the home of the Quiksilver Pro.

Residential

Burleigh Waters is made up of a mix of stunning waterfront homes, low-rise units, houses and duplexes. The area is popular among families.

Shopping

There are a number of shopping centres in the Burleigh Waters area. Stockland Burleigh Heads is located on West Burleigh Rd and has a Woolworths, Drake IGA and Big W. Treetops Plaza and Burleigh Town Marketplace are also nearby with a number of stores on offer. Robina Town Centre is also close to Burleigh Waters and has a number of facilities including Coles, Woolworths, David Jones, Kmart and Target as well as a cinema compex. In West Burleigh a booming industrial area is home to major exporters and surf manufacturers including surfwear giant Billabong.

Transport

Bus lines run through Burleigh Heads en route to and from the northern Gold Coast. A bus runs from Pacific Fair to West Burleigh via Burleigh Waters every hour. Burleigh has easy access to the M1 Motorway and is 15 to 20 minutes from Gold Coast Airport. Robina train station is 15 minutes away from Burleigh Waters.

Recreation

Burleigh’s fantastic beach is undoubtedly one of its best features and is popular for swimming and surfing. The headland offers fantastic bushwalking and the opportunity to view native flora and fauna. David Fleay Wildlife Park is popular for families and school groups looking to view native flora and fauna in a natural habitat. There are plenty of cafes and bars in the area to relax with friends.

Gold Coast Burleigh Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 71 private members golf club which is open to visitors who have an Australian Golf Union or Women’s Golf Australia handicap.
