Burleigh Heads
Burleigh Heads is a coastal suburb toward the southern end of the Gold Coast. It is loved by locals for its laid-back atmosphere and beautiful beach. The area is made up of a national park consisting of a bush-covered volcanic dome that juts out to sea. A wild, natural headland offers walks along the rocky foreshore and through rainforest and provides a good vantage point for whale watching as they pass along the coastline. Burleigh Hill overlooks the ocean and is a popular spot for weddings. Popular among families and surfers alike, Burleigh is the home of the Quiksilver Pro.

Treetops Plaza and Burleigh Town Marketplace are also nearby with a number of stores on offer. In West Burleigh a booming industrial area is home to major exporters and manufacturers including surfwear giant Billabong.

Transport
Bus lines run through Burleigh Heads en route to and from the northern Gold Coast. A bus runs from Pacific Fair to West Burleigh via Burleigh Waters every hour. Burleigh has easy access to the M1 Motorway and is 15 to 20 minutes from Gold Coast Airport. Robina train station is 15 minutes away from Burleigh Waters.

Burleigh’s fantastic beach is undoubtedly one of its best features and is popular for swimming and surfing. The headland offers fantastic bushwalking and the opportunity to view native flora and fauna. David Fleay Wildlife Park is popular for families and school groups looking to view native flora and fauna in a natural habitat. There are plenty of cafes and bars in the area to relax with friends.
