Bethania
Bethania is one of the older suburbs located at the northern end of the Gold Coast. The area, half way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, was originally a cane and dairy farming region and has managed to retain its rustic charm. It is popular for families and is an appropriate area for retirees looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Residential
Homes and apartments are available in this area. Land is still available but is increasingly limited. Woodlands, located in Waterford, is one of the area’s newer developments and offers homes in idyllic natural surroundings.
Shopping
Shops are scattered throughout the Bethania, Holmview and Waterford suburbs. Beenleigh Marketplace is within a ten-minute drive, while the recently expanded Logan Hyperdome is a fifteen-minute drive along the M1 Motorway.

Transport
Local buses run through this area once an hour. The train station at Ormeau that joins Brisbane and the Gold Coast is a ten-minute drive.

Recreation
The Bethania Swimming Pool is open between September and April. The Beenleigh Rum Distillery nearby, home to the oldest surviving still in Australia, is open for guided tours where visitors can view a series of displays. Fans of model trains will enjoy the Train Place which is also a short drive.
Golf
Windaroo Lakes Golf Course is a ten-minute drive and is open to the public. The 18-hole championship golf course is appropriate for all levels of golfers.
